Parade and Fireworks: The highlight of Freedom Fest is undoubtedly the spectacular parade that makes its way down the center of Spring Creek. The parade has become so popular that entries have to be limited! Colorful floats, classic cars, and community groups showcase their creativity and patriotism, filling the air with an infectious spirit of joy. Spectators line the street, waving flags and cheering as the procession passes by, evoking a sense of unity and pride. Candy, popsicles, and other treats are thrown to the crowds gathered a the edge of the road. Some spectators show up as early as 8 am to get a prime spot on Spring Creek Parkway. While parking is not allowed on the Hub's lot, the spaces on the road are an ideal place to settle with your family and watch the parade- just steps away from the yummy goodness at Old Timey Ice Cream.
Old Timey Ice Cream has participated in the Freedom Fest for the past 3 years and will do so again this year. Old Timey Ice Cream will be open at The Hub from 8am until just after the parade, then they will move over to the marina for the Freedom Fest. Join Old Timey Ice Cream before the parade for a "grab and go" lemonade pouch in Cherry or Blue Raspberry! At the marina, enjoy ice cream, sundaes, floats, and Old Timey Cotton Candy.
Mud volleyball, a 5K run, and other activities happen throughout the day at the Spring Creek Marina. Bring your families and enjoy the community atmosphere, delicious food, and fun events.
As the sun sets, the night sky is set ablaze with a breathtaking fireworks display sponsored by the Khoury family and other sponsors. Bursting with vibrant colors and cascading lights, the fireworks create a magical atmosphere over the marina that leaves onlookers awe-inspired. Families gather on blankets and chairs, gazing upward as the sky comes alive, painting a mesmerizing picture of patriotism.
